Brushstrokes to Brands
5th August 2023 - 18th February 2024
My first major solo exhibition was held at the Museum of Brands, Notting Hill, London.
The show was initially planned to run for four months but was extended for a further three months due to it's popularity. It featured a series of still life paintings made up from items found in the museum's collection of over 200 years of perfectly preserved branded items.
The items I chose were those which were of significance to me. Items from my childhood in the 70's and 80's as well as some modern day items which may be of nostalgic significance to my children and family in the future. All the paintings are featured in the link below with a brief explanation of why I chose to paint them. All the paintings are now available to purchase.
Please contact me for more information.
MAFA
I am proud to be a full member of Manchester Academy of Fine Arts (MAFA) and was elected a MAFA council member in 2021.
Manchester Academy of Fine Arts was created in 1858 and boasts former members such as L.S. Lowry, Ford Madox Brown and Annie Swynnerton.
Today it has a membership of over 110 diverse and talented artists. It's painters, sculptors and printmakers represent the best in fine art across the region.
The next MAFA group exhibition will be in the Summer of 2024.
Northern Boys Art
After a successful inaugural exhibition with 'The Northern Boys' at Contemporary Six Gallery, Manchester in 2019, I continue to paint & exhibit with this group of Plein Air Painters regularly in locations around the world.
The group recently had a major exhibition in London at Panter & Hall, Pall Mall, in spring 2024.
